Summary
Lori Sturdevant and Tom Sengupta will tell the remarkable story of Tom’s political forums in Prospect Park, then lead a forum with all assembled guests.
Description
Lori Sturdevant, local political reporter and co-author of When Republicans Were Progressives, will talk with Tom Sengupta, a retired Minneapolis pharmacist. Tom convened regular political conversations between local elected officials and regular citizens in his Prospect Park drugstore. After discussing that history, they’ll lead a new forum with a robust discussion around the room. Tom’s vision is encapsulated in the banner that hung outside the pharmacy, where people were urged to take action on their beliefs to improve our country and our world.
